This is not a criticism of the study or of the West Amwell police who currently patrol Rocktown Hill Road adjacent to our house located in East Amwell. However, Rocktown Hill Road is a small, rural road that has turned into a speedway and nearly 10 years of effort to get any kind of enforcement of the 25 mph speed limit has been ignored by East Amwell. Frankly, the police are not much good if we cannot walk on our road or our kids cannot play in the neighborhood without fear of being run down. I support regionalization but fear that we will remain psychologically not part of the region. In any event, while patrols are fine, we need visible enforcement of traffic laws. Good grief - stop some speeders - you are the police!!
